The iPhone 4s is on an iCloud to phone heaven!

The iPhone 4s doesn’t take your breath away like the original iPhone did.  Why?  Because we’re all used to phones looking glassy, metallic and glossy now.  That doesn’t mean though that the iPhone 4s is just a re-hash of the old.  It’s definitely the best around on the market.  All the iPhones have been the best you can buy in my opinion and that certainly hasn’t changed with the i4s. 

So what’s new?  The internal electronic components are, as ever situated between two panels of chemically strengthened aluminosilicate glass.  The camera has been upgraded to 8MP and the CPU has the same dual-core A5 processor as the iPad 2.  [Read more...]

Smartphones explained

Smartphones are telephones that provide features that are over and above the straightforward capability to make fone calls. While the term can be correctly applied to any kind of fone, a smartphone is typically accepted to be a cellphone and not a land line telefone. Over the years, the idea of the smartphone continues to expand as hand-held devices have increase in sophistication.

 The 1st cell telephone to be thought to be a smartphone was designed by IBM in 1992. Given the name of Simon, the device made an appearance at COMDEX that year, and was offered to the public the next year. A few beneficial features that up to that time had only been available on desktop and portable PCs were included in the functionality. Simon included a calculator, straightforward note pad, the power to send and receive faxes, and a mail element. Fast, the device also provided one or two games for the user to enjoy together with a convenient world clock that allowed the user to view current times in major towns around the globe.
